Katat0nik now in ALBERO!

Today I have a big post about a big new arrival in ALBERO — welcome Katat0nik!! Katat0nik, named for its designer, Katat0nik Pidgeon, has long been a popular stop elsewhere on the grid for avatars seeking a bit of twisted and colorful adventure. I’m really excited to now have this stylish and fun shop right here under the beautiful trees of ALBERO!

First up, the Animal Crackers dress. I’m rocking the flamingo version, but it also comes in zebra, monkey, panda and two varieties of giraffe! The dress top doubles as a jacket and there are the two different skirt options (with cute glitch panties underneath!). I really like the contrast of the solids and stripes — I even coordinated my Katat0nik Bubbly Mary Janes and wore one pink striped shoe and one solid red. 

Actually, let’s talk about those wonderful shoes. Katat0nik’s Bubbly Mary Janes are round-toed dolly shoes that have seven texture change options built right in. Buy your favorite color shoe then overlay stripes, checker (not shown), stars, dots, plaid and/or hearts (or wear it plain). There are ten different colors available — why not get the fatpack and mix things up!

The details on the Animal Crackers dress are so cute — look at that flamingo hemline! And don’t think that you need to wear pale goth skin and pink horned hair to pull off a Katat0nik ensemble — the beauty of these items is that they fit right in with a variety of styles, from casual to goth to… whatever!

Let me give you another example of the flexibility of Katat0nik items. In the photo below I’m wearing the adorable Striped Dollie dress. This fun Loli style looks great with a theatrical skin (left) or dressed down and worn with other pieces (right). And it’s available in 19 amazing colors! I’ve paired the Striped Dollie with Katat0nik’s Gat Jamz hair. It comes with built-in headphones and music notes (which can be hidden), and you can tint the pigtails, the streaks, and the bangs in the crazy combination of your choice (if you don’t want the crazy, just make them all the same for one solid color). I’ve shown just a few of the many many color combinations.

Next up — watermelons for summer! Katat0nik’s Fruit Swirl Dress and Fruit Bra & Panties (both shown in watermelon) are so much fun. The dress comes with a bow belt, ruffled panties, gloves and stockings. Both the dress and the lingerie come in seven delicious flavors.

Last but certainly not least is Katat0nik’s lavender Panda Dress – currently marked down to just 25L as an ALBERO opening special! The dress, which has an irresistible panda print fabric skirt, is so much fun to play with, whether you’re wearing it as a costume (left) or combining it with pieces from other designers (right). My favorite SL items are always ones that you can wear in several ways, and Katat0nik certainly does not disappoint!

Note: many of Katat0nik’s items require you to use the Charisma HUD for prim adjustment. This is a sleeker alternative to the everyday resizing script and — I can vouch — it’s quite easy to use! So don’t let the no modify permissions of Katat0nik’s items trip you up. You can indeed edit this clothing with the HUD (included with purchase).
